Ben Franklin Bridge is one of the most sought-after engagement locations in Old City, Philadelphia, and with good reason. It offers stunning views no matter the time of the day.
Jon used to date Vienna around this area and couldn’t pass the opportunity for some great portraits at Race Street Pier under the bridge although it was a foggy morning.
How sharp did these two look? 🤩💖
It was my first time working at the Brandywine Park in Wilmington but I really enjoyed exploring the park with Lauren and Mike. The Rose Garden made for some beautiful backdrops filled with flowers and sunshine. We even got to pop some champagne later in the evening, right under the moonlight.
Back at one of my favorite venues to photograph Amanda and Jon’s wedding on a gorgeous sunny summer day. These two were so easy to be captured and truly enjoyed each other like it was just another day.
Ramona our coordinator drove us like the wind through the winding hills of the golf course for the portraits and we made some great memories on the way. Check out the whole story!
Amanda and Justin took my advice and braved the early morning sunrise under the Ben Franklin Bridge at the popular spot Race Street Pier. Although not a morning person, I love these sessions for many reasons but the most important being those gorgeous colors in the sky when the sun just peaks its beautiful bald head on Philadelphia’s horizon. 🙂
We even got to play with their sweet doggie Charlie later, around the Eastern State Penitentiary Park in Fairmount.
I think when it comes to events we all have lower expectations during this pandemic, but Brittany and Zach’s wedding was definitely the exception. One couldn’t ask for nicer couples to work with on a wedding day than these two wonderful humans. 🙂
It felt good going back to some sort of normality during this crazy pandemic. Victoria and Steven planned the perfect backyard wedding with only the closest friends and family and it turned into a beautiful celebration. Who says you need to have 300 guests to have fun?!
You know what they say about the early bird; something about worms and being early. Anyway, one thing’s for sure, Jamie and Steve are not afraid of early mornings! Although not caffeinated enough I braved the morning and had a bunch of fun with these two. We caught a stunning sunrise over the water at Spruce street Harbor and walked to the Merchant Exchange Building through the cobblestone alleys of the Old City.
Not photographing my couples for three months was definitely not the easiest thing during these crazy times of the pandemic. But with the easing of restrictions in Philadelphia we managed to start again with small sessions like engagements and boy does it feel good to have some kind of normalcy back. Enjoy a few of my favorites from their Race Street Pier Engagement!
It was a given ever since I met Valerie and David that their wedding at Collingswood Grand Ballroom is gonna rock! They are such sweet, genuine peeps and it showed on their big day. I loved everything from everyone’s colorful outfits and flower bouquets all the way to the board games and the amazing West Philadelphia Orchestra. (Balkan Brass band in Philadelphia)
Oh yea, and we beat this darn COVID19 virus by a week or two. #winwin
You just have to play this song in the background while you scroll through the photos. 🙂
I seem to photograph more and more Winter weddings lately. And if you are to have a Winter wedding in Philadelphia, Valley Green Inn is one of the best places to host it at. It offers a secluded venue along the Fairmount Park trails, with beautiful river views and icicle walls, if you’re lucky. You can also break out the marshmallows by the fire if that’s what floats your boat. 🙂
Photographing in the subway(metro for you Europeans) a first for me, but I had a ton of fun with Simona and Chris. We rode the Pattison line to Dilworth Park and then Love Park for a few shots with the famous sign. Can’t wait for their 10.10.2020 wedding! The easiest wedding date to remember. 🙂
From Simona: “The date 10/10/20 is a big deal for us! It’s the 10th day of the 10th month and 10+10=20! 10 has been a nickname for Chris growing up. During our time of dating, he always referred to me as being “perfect” and later develop Perfect 10 Fitness, his personal training business. So I guess you can say it’s his number I adopted it lol.”
By now I’m sure you recognize Penn Oaks Golf Club from all the blog posts I wrote. 🙂
Dominique and Marcelino’s wedding was my first 2020 event and we made it an unforgettable one! A foggy day is the enemy of iPhone photos, as one guest begrudgingly mentioned it, but for me equals mysterious and romantic photos, and their day was no different. We had a blast from morning portraits until their reception party!
What better place to photograph your engagement session than the famous Philadelphia Addison street?! Janelle and Greg were such troopers on a fairly chilly December day.
From their Spring engagement session filled with wildflowers to their Old Mill Inn wedding seemed like a short hop skip and a jump. And these two made it look that easy, enjoying every moment of the day with no frills. Enjoy!
I love seeing my wedding couples build a family and having me document their expansion is just an honor. Jen and Jay are expecting a baby girl soon and these photos will be sweet memories down the road for when she will grow up. We photographed their maternity photos at Ridley Creek park, specifically at Hunted Hill Mansion.
Joe planned the perfect surprise proposal for his girlfriend Kristin at the Waterworks Promenade and Gazebo overlooking the iconic Boat House Row. It was a big yes and we got some great portraits done for their engagement as well.
When I first met with Emily and Chris to plan their wedding timeline they had me at “we wanna take our photos inside the Philadelphia Flyer Wells Fargo stadium”.
The rest is history, and this past week we had a blast on ice with the two of them. I must admit I barely kept up with the love birds but in my defense, I was not skating and was pushing around my light stand as well. 🙂
The hockey puck is gonna reveal their wedding date as well as the awesome wedding ring Emily is wearing.
I had high expectations from David and Brian and I was not let down. They booked Artesano Gallery for their wedding reception and the guys there could not have done a better job decorating the space and getting ready for the awesome party that unfolded. Side note; the food at Artesano: Next Level!
PS. Thank you for all the help planning, Melissa! @INITIATIVESEVENTS
I’m not gonna lie when I say Fall is my favorite time of the year for engagement photos, and that resonates with my couples as well. Alexandra and Jon were a pleasure to photograph and it shows.
